Your Arctic Start warranty covers the remote and external parts for 1 year from the date of purchase. The control module is covered the lifetime that you own the vehicle. Arctic Start system warranties are non-transferrable and are only valid to the original purchaser and vehicle. To register your Arctic Start remote system, visit the warranty page in the support directory. Arctic Start systems not purchased through an authorized Arctic Start dealer are not covered by the remote and system warranties. As a general guideline, do not purchase Arctic Start systems online, as the vast majority of these systems will not be covered by warranty. Instead, visit our dealer locator page and find an authorized dealer near you! Installation labor is also not covered by Arctic Start by Firstech, LLC.
Not every vehicle needs a bypass module. We recommend that you check with your dealer. Your vehicle may need a module or two depending on the year, make, and/or model.
You have to set reservation mode before leaving your vehicle. To activate reservation mode, leave your gear in neutral. Then, you must set your emergency brake and wait a few seconds before removing the vehicle key from the ignition. Your vehicle will remain running until you exit your vehicle and close all doors. The motor will shut down and 2-way remotes will receive a page-back. Setting up reservation mode for the first time may be confusing. Contact your nearest authorized Arctic Start dealer, or call us at 1-888-820-3690 to walk through the process with our support team.
Arctic Start transmitters are not compatible with other systems due to unique frequency modulations. These transmitting patterns are proprietary to Firstech. For more answers on this topic, please e-mail us at support@arcticstart.com.
When experiencing difficulty with your Arctic Start remote, please follow these troubleshooting steps. Is your vehicle responding to your remote at all? Do only the lock/unlock functions work? If so, you could be in valet mode. To disable valet mode, tap the I and III buttons (or lock and trunk) simultaneously. If your vehicle does not respond to any remote commands, try reprogramming your remote. This process is outlined in your user’s manual (also briefly outlined in FAQ #4). You can also contact your authorized Arctic Start dealer and/or e-mail us at support@arcticstart.com.
If your automobile and remote are communicating successfully, but your vehicle is solely unable to start, your bypass module and/or overall installation needs to be checked by your authorized Arctic Start dealer.

This process is outlined in detail in your user’s manual. You must cycle the vehicle’s ignition between the on and acc/off position 5 times within 7 seconds. Then, tap the I (lock) button. Another method is to remove the remote battery and reinsert it after cycling the ignition 5 times. Note: We recommend contacting your authorized Arctic Start dealer or contacting us at support@arcticstart.com so that we can help you successfully reprogram your remotes. For immediate help, call us toll-free at 1-888-820-3690.
You can program up to 3 remotes with all current Arctic Start systems. However, some older systems are not compatible with new remotes. Contact your nearest authorized Arctic Start dealer to make sure you have the remote that is best for you.
